Pushya

Pushya is the 8th of the twenty-seven nakshatras (lunar mansions), spanning 3°20′–16°40′ Cancer of the sidereal zodiac.

Its ruling graha is Shani (Saturn), its presiding deity Brihaspati (teacher of the gods), and its symbol the cow’s udder or flower.

Pushya is held to be the most auspicious of all the nakshatras — nourishing, protective, and devoted. It feeds and supports, like the udder of its symbol, with Saturn’s steadiness behind its care. A mansion of duty, faith, and quiet, reliable goodness.
