Your day, read on the seven chakras
Each morning Ashoka sets today's sky against your birth chart and shows where you will feel it: which planets are touching which of your seven centres, from the root to the crown, what that may feel like, and what to do with the day.
Which planet rules which chakra
A modern pairing gives each centre a planet. Tap a centre to read about it.

How your day is read
The Moon always appears. It moves through a sign in about two and a half days and colours how a day feels. It lights a centre of your own: the centre of a birth planet it is passing over or facing, otherwise the centre of the planet that rules the sign it is in.
Your Dasha lords appear too: the planets running this season and this chapter of your life, with their dates.
Up to three planets are pressing on you now: planets in a hard place counted from your birth Moon that are weak or turning there. Saturn always counts during Sade Sati.
Which planets matter is classical Jyotish, computed from your chart. Where each one lands in the body is a modern bridge between yoga and Jyotish, and the page says so.
What you get each day
- How the day leans for you, in one line, and the special days ahead: the days the stars align for you, and the Chandrashtama days to go gently.
- How the day may feel, with the two centres that matter most.
- A walk through all seven centres: what each planet is doing to you now, when it eases, and what to do.
- "How do you feel?": pick a feeling and see what in today's sky might explain it.
Questions
Which planet rules which chakra?
In the pairing used here, Saturn rules the root (Muladhara), Jupiter the sacral (Svadhisthana), Mars the solar plexus (Manipura), Venus the heart (Anahata), Mercury the throat (Vishuddha), the Moon the brow (Ajna) and the Sun the crown (Sahasrara). Rahu sits with the brow and Ketu with the crown.
Is the link between planets and chakras classical?
No. The chakras come from yoga and Tantra, and the classical astrology texts do not pair them with the planets. The pairing is a modern bridge, and so are the rainbow colours. Which planets matter on your day is classical Jyotish: the Moon, your Dasha periods and the transits counted from your birth Moon.
What is Chandrashtama?
The two and a half days each month when the Moon passes the eighth sign from your birth Moon. Tradition treats them as a poor time to begin or decide anything important. They are days of lower resilience rather than danger, and the page marks them ahead of time.
Do I need my birth time?
No, though it helps. Without a birth time the page still reads your day from your birth date and place, and leaves out only the details that depend on the exact hour.
Is it free?
Yes. Create a free account, add your birth details, and your day is ready each morning.
