Dhanishta is the 23rd of the twenty-seven nakshatras (lunar mansions), spanning 23°20′ Capricorn–6°40′ Aquarius of the sidereal zodiac.

Its ruling graha is Mangal (Mars), its presiding deity the eight Vasus (gods of abundance), and its symbol the a drum.

Dhanishta is the drum — rhythm, vitality, and prosperity. Under Mars and the Vasus, it gives musicality, wealth, and a marching energy that gets things moving and keeps time for others. A mansion of abundance, performance, and confident momentum.
