Hasta

Hasta is the 13th of the twenty-seven nakshatras (lunar mansions), spanning 10°00′–23°20′ Virgo of the sidereal zodiac.

Its ruling graha is Chandra (the Moon), its presiding deity Savitar (the radiant Sun-as-inspirer), and its symbol the hand or closed fist.

Hasta is the hand — skill, craft, and the power to make and to hold. It gives dexterity, cleverness, and a practical, capable intelligence, with the lightness of the moon and the inspiration of Savitar. Whatever Hasta takes in hand, it shapes well.
