Mrigashira

Mrigashira is the 5th of the twenty-seven nakshatras (lunar mansions), spanning 23°20′ Taurus–6°40′ Gemini of the sidereal zodiac.

Its ruling graha is Mangal (Mars), its presiding deity Soma (the moon-nectar), and its symbol the deer’s head.

Mrigashira is the searching mind — the gentle deer forever scenting the next meadow. It gives curiosity, restlessness, and a light, questing intelligence. Its people are seekers and gatherers of experience, charming and a little hard to pin down.
